How a scan becomes a plan
Walk the room
Open ProperCam on an iPhone Pro and move slowly along the walls. Doors, windows and furniture are recognised as you go, and the scan saves to your phone even without a signal.
Review the plan
The scan arrives in your account as a 3D model and a floor plan, with every wall dimensioned and the floor area and ceiling height worked out.
Hand it over
Download whatever the next person needs: DXF for the architect, PDF for the client, USDZ for the agent's listing, FBX for the 3D artist.

Before you scan
The questions people ask before their first room.
- Which devices can scan?
- Any iPhone or iPad with a LiDAR scanner: iPhone 12 Pro and every Pro model since, and iPad Pro from 2020 onwards. Any browser can view scans and download files.
- How accurate are the measurements?
- LiDAR room scans are typically accurate to within a few centimetres. For work that depends on exact tolerances, confirm the critical dimensions with a tape before ordering materials.
- Do I need a connection while scanning?
- No. Scans are captured and saved on your phone, and upload to your account when you are back online.
- What is included for free?
- Your first room, with GLB, USDZ and OBJ exports and floor plans as PNG and SVG. No card is needed to start.
- What does Pro add?
- Unlimited scans and every format: FBX, DAE, STL, PLY, 3D DXF, LAS, PTS and XYZ point clouds, vector PDF and DXF plans, and measurements as CSV.
- Can I cancel at any time?
- Yes, from your account in two clicks. Pro stays active until the end of the period you have paid for, and your scans stay in your account.
- Will my files open in AutoCAD, Revit or SketchUp?
- Floor plans export as DXF, which opens in AutoCAD and links into Revit. 3D models export as DAE for SketchUp and FBX or OBJ for most other 3D tools.
- Who can see my scans?
- Only you. Scans are stored privately and every download link is signed and expires within the hour.
